1. Introduction
Givum ("we", "us", "our") provides funding intelligence software and educational resources to business operators and the consultants who serve them. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have. By using Givum, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information: name, email address, password (hashed), and verification status.
- Profile and assessment information: contact details, home address, date of birth, self-reported income, business details, funding amount, self-reported credit range, and consents you provide.
- Usage information: pages viewed, actions taken, device, browser, and approximate location derived from IP.
- Communications: messages you send us and records of our responses.
We do not pull your credit, and we do not ask for full social security numbers, bank login credentials, or government identifiers through the website assessment.
3. How We Use Information
- Create and secure your account and verify your email.
- Generate your funding score, readiness audit, and recommended next steps.
- Match you with internal strategists or independent third-party partners when you request funding help.
- Improve our products, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
- Send you transactional messages (verification, status updates) and — only if you opt in — marketing material.
4. How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to operate the service:
- With consultants and funding partners you ask us to engage on your behalf.
- With service providers that host our infrastructure, send email, and provide analytics, under contract.
- When required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure product usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may break parts of the service.
6. Data Retention
We retain account and assessment data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. You may request deletion at any time.
7. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit, row-level database security, and least-privilege access controls. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password and notify us of suspected unauthorized access.
